Tax Assessor / Tax Collector Bridging Best Practice

Hi. I'm trying to get a better understanding of how Tax Collectors and Tax Assessors work together. I know permanent records reside in the Tax Assessor office and they update property transfers, etc. But our Tax Collector makes changes as well and it seems like redundant work. I'm hoping a weekly bridge by the Tax Assessor (when they are up to date) will solve the problem. Thoughts? Suggestions? Best practices? I've reached out to a few towns already but would love to hear from more. We have about 20,000 parcels and use QDS and Vision. Thanks.
