AP Automation

Has anyone implemented AP automation and would be willing to share their experience, including benefits and challenges? We are evaluating AvidXchange and would appreciate feedback on their product, implementation process, and support. We use Enterprise ERP (MUNIS)

    I did implement AP automation for utility billing (in Sacoe, ME), but the provider made many errors properly assigning bills, late payments, and other issues. The reporting was also unimpressive once we were live in the system. So we had to turn the whole thing off and switched to auto-pay with journal imports for most utility payments. Most other AP bills are too random to be able to automate. I would just ask a lot of questions and go deep on reporting capabilities before making the switch!

    We have not, but very interested in it. Munis is supposed to release an update this year with AP Automation. I did attend the webinar and one of the mentioned features was the ability to send an invoice to a designated email, and the system will add it to the batch by pulling date, invoice #, PO#, amount, etc. There will be a review step as well.
